Bug #122
Playlist sub-window stays in background (LXDE/Openbox)
0%
Description
Hi,
Sorry to reopen Bug 3 (http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/3)
In the last comment:
I've something interesting : in 3.x versions, when playlist is hidden behind other windows, if you click the "playlist" button to deactivate the playlist, and then click again to reactivate it, the faulty behaviour disappears and Audacious behave as expected
Does this not suggest that the issue could be resolved in the Audacious code?
If I load Audacious from the terminal then only the playlist is visible and main player is hidden. If I then select Audacious from the window list then both the playlist and main player are visible. If I select another window and then re-select Audacious only the main player is visible. The two are not acting as a single unit.
In the code I could not find the "toggle playlist" or "show/hide playlist" (should it be something like: audacious_remote_toggle_playlist ?) but if the playlist is toggled off then back on then the main player and the playlist behave as one unit, as desired. Could this be added to the startup to fix this bug?

Not to me. If it "suggests" that to you, then please back up that vague suggestion with a concrete patch.
